Knitters Gonna Knit.. unless stitches keep falling apart.

This is my second post about knitting, and I wish I had something to show you but the truth is none of knitting is worthy of the internet yet.  I have been watching an exceptional amount of youtube videos and have found this video to be one of the easier ones to follow along with because lets be real, I am clueless about knitting.

I have also downloaded an app called “Knitting and Crocheting Patterns” but haven’t really had the chance to explore the app very much yet.

As for myself and knitting, I am learning I am not a patient woman and find knitting exceptionally challenging because I hate that I am not good at it yet, I also am finding it difficult to set time aside to knit and only knit.  With applying for jobs, going to class and trying to be a human it seems most of my knitting is done in the dead of night.  I will strive on to become the Pinterest knitter of my dreams but for right now I look a bit more like the girl below, as all my stitches fall out, yet again.

Once you get the hang of knitting, it’ll be something that you can do to keep your hands busy while watching TV or things like that! I can crochet and knit (not very well), but I sometimes do it to keep my hands and brain busy while I am doing other things if I just need some time to calm my mind down and forget everything else around me. I hope after you get passed the frustration phase of knitting it becomes something that allows you to destress and calm your mind too!
    Good luck, girl! 🙂

Keep pushing! I found it very awkward at the start, but once you are used to it you will fly through! Have you tried arm knitting? It is very relaxing, and you can kind of get the feel of how the process works but on a larger scale.

I 100% agree with you! I’m also having a difficult time to carve out time every day to engage in my learning project. We just have to keep at it. I’m excited to see how your learning project progresses! It’s a very calming practice (or so I hear) once you get going. You’ll be knitting sweaters and blankets in no time! Do you have anyone that could help teach you in person? Even though this is meant to be primarily online, sometime’s that’s easier to get started and then you could use online videos and resources to learn more complex skills!

I can relate to this post haha! I have attempted knitting a couple of times, but I have never had the patience for self-learning it so good for you for taking on this learning project!. I am the kind of person who always needs to be multitasking so I like the fact that I can practice sewing while I watch tv, which is not something I could do with knitting. Good luck and can’t wait to see your progress!

My sister did knitting as her learning project in EDTC300 too! Luckily, my mom is SUPER talented with her knitting hobby so she helped my sister out a lot! But I remember her struggling for awhile because it actually is a pretty difficult thing to learn. Props to you! I don’t know if I would have the patience lol I would definitely get frustrated!

Hey Madi, once you get the hang of it, I think it will just flow and happen quickly for you!! I tried to crochet at one point in time… because living in a small time was as boring as it gets. Turns out my hands are older than my body and although I am still under 30 my hands would cramp and hurt at the joints sooo bad I couldn’t do it, there was nothing relaxing about it either. So here’s hoping you are better and more persistent then I was!
I also really enjoy your blog outline, i find it very organized – I really need to get on top of mine and perfect it!
    Good Luck!
